  • If you see a live bug, it can be killed by spraying with a little bit of rubbing alcohol. ***
  • De-clutter your living space. Any items removed from the space should be bagged, tagged, and immediately placed in the outside bin for disposal.
  • There is no need to throw away all of your furniture or belongings. Heat treatment can penetrate these areas and ensure that any hiding bugs are killed.
  • Vacuum the affected area thoroughly, including under and around beds and dressers. Empty the vacuum container outside immediately after vacuuming.
  • Placing bug interceptors under legs of beds and couches can prevent bugs from climbing up into the bed. This is also an effective way to monitor the bugs reproductive activity and population density
  • Buy mattress and box spring encasements that have been proven to block bed bugs from passing through.  These must be left on for at least 1 year in order to ensure that no bugs that have been possibly trapped inside are still living.
